We’re delighted that Otesha are coming to North Edinburgh Arts in August. Otesha is mobile community of young people cycling Scotland visiting schools, youth clubs and communities holding workshops and permorming plays connecting global environmental issues with every day lives.
More details on the exact workshops will be released sooner to the time, but we’re excited that they’re previous tours included making wallets out of tetrapaks, bike maintenance and, good for us, food growing.
North Edinburgh Arts is excited to be taking part in Edinburgh’s newest festival, the Power of Food Festival, on Saturday 20th June.
The Power of Food festival is a celebration of the community food growing scene and takes place at 15 of the city’s community gardens.
At NEA, we’re having an open garden day with the opportunity for people to come and check out our award winning garden, meet some of the gardeners and taste some produce.
And (weather permitting) we’ve got outdoor performances of Calvinball in the sand pit – a rolling theatre performance for babies and their families.

Update! Calvinball will be free this Saturday! Performances at 10am and 11.30am.
